Overview

Faktee is a Chrome extension built with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. This policy explains exactly what data is processed and where it goes.

Data we do NOT collect

• We do not have servers that store your invoice data
• We do not track your usage, clicks, or behavior
• We do not use cookies or tracking pixels
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties
• We do not have user accounts

Data stored locally

The following data is stored exclusively in your browser using chrome.storage.local — it never leaves your device:

• Your activation code
• Fakturoid API credentials (if you choose to connect)
• History of processed invoices (last 100 items)

Data sent to third parties

When you click "Extract invoice data", the PDF file is sent directly from your browser to:

• Google Gemini API — for AI data extraction. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
• Faktee API proxy (Cloudflare Workers) — only to validate your activation code and enforce usage limits. The PDF itself is forwarded to Gemini and not stored.
• Fakturoid API — only if you choose to use the direct export feature. Fakturoid's privacy policy applies.

Activation code validation

When you verify or use your activation code, a request is sent to our Cloudflare Worker at faktee-api.vladimirsebian1.workers.dev. This request contains only your activation code and the PDF file. No personal information is attached.

Faktee's source code is publicly available on GitHub: github.com/Vladkos72/Faktee. You can inspect exactly what data is sent and where.
